Pine needle is said to increase alertness and productivity when diffused. It has a strong, clean balsamic aroma that is well complemented when mixed with geranium, lemon or lime.

Pine needle has hypertensive properties so should be avoided by those suffering with high blood pressure. It may be irritating to the skin and mucous membranes so use in low dilutions.
